Anime Releases: Summer 2010

Summer is upon us and with it comes lots and lots of free time to kill, which for many an Otaku it means that it is time to crack open the DVD box sets or begin queuing those downloads. This summer brings forth many new titles and new seasons for some of our favorites.

The Big list

The following is a simple compendium of the titles to come this summer in Japan. Those of you who are into fan subs (not like we are encouraging piracy or anything) will be hearing from them pretty soon, whereas those who wait for the DVD releases in the west will have to keep their fingers crossed for the anime to be successful enough to warrant localization.

As you can tell after skimming through the humongous list of releases, July is packed. In all honesty, it should be. The bulk of the summer is the sweet half between July and August when you are either oncerned about returning to the grind or you already depleted everything else to do. Some of the animes coming out this summer will pump new life into shows that more than one reader has been looking forward to. But we can also look forward to some great new releases (Black Rock Shooter anyone?), so there you go. Plan out your schedules to accommodate the necessary bandwidth for the massive downloads to come or begin praying for localized releases of your favorites! Remember, we do not condone piracy and encourage you to become a supporter and legally purchase your anime!
